Police Service denies deployment training to Somalia reports.

The Police Public Affairs Director, DSP Cephas Arthur, has denied media reports that contingents of 90 Policemen are being trained for deployment to Somalia to support the African Union Peace-Keeping Mission.

Speaking on Radio Ghana’s Current Affairs Programme, “Behind the News”, DSP Arthur noted that though some Policemen are undergoing training at the Kofi Annan Peace Keeping Training Centre, it is an annual training given to Security Personnel. 


He asked the public not to panic as the Police are on top of their security arrangements.
