- We had a couple of these brief but incredibly intense showers. Torrential downpours is a better term. They’d last for 15 minutes or a half an hour, and an hour later you’d never know they’d even occurred.
- We saw more than a few of these German C-160s delivering food supplies at the Kismayo airfield.
- When we first arrived at the Kismayo airfield, we stayed in the hangar, which had to be cleared of a lot of detritus first. Charlie Company then pushed out to Jilib in stages.
