Mogadishu Somalia

Two Somali police officers have been killed in southern Mogadishu when a roadside bomb blast partially destroyed a government vehicle.
The vehicle belonged to the Central Bank of Somalia and was targeted on a road linking the center of Somalia’s capital to the airport and other areas to the south.
This is while Ethiopian soldiers reportedly attacked the Fagah district last night, killing two civilians and injuring six more.
The attack was carried out in retaliation for Monday’s heavy explosions which killed at least seven Ethiopian and Somali government soldiers, the Press TV correspondent reports.
With full US backing and military training, Ethiopian troops entered Somalia in late 2006 and toppled the Union of Islamic Courts administration.
The Ethiopian troops, who have been widely unpopular and seen as occupying forces, have become targets of increasing attacks by militants.
