Switzerland:- Right-Wing Party Leaves Government

The popular right-wing Swiss People’s Party, Switzerland’s biggest, pulled out of the coalition cabinet, ending nearly a half-century of consensus government. The party’s announcement that it would place itself in opposition came a day after Parliament voted to deny the party’s leader, Christoph Blocher, re-election to a seat in the cabinet in favor of a more moderate member.
